Busy Day

Today started at 9:00 am with Showered With Love. Mary had a customer that needed some help with housing, so I went to meet her. She had just gotten a job and was very excited about that. She just needs to find some housing. While I was there I was able to get updated contact numbers for about 6 more clients and took 2 clothing orders and then took off to pick up donations. On the way back, a client of mine called and was ready to go to a program. I picked her up and we went to Gospel Center Rescue Mission. I am very proud of her. She did it with confidence.

In the afternoon, I received a call from another client with 4 kids that they had nowhere to go tonight. Again, Gospel Center Rescue Mission came through and took them all. This client has been waiting since March for her housing voucher.

Moved on to donation drop off for the day, wherein we delivered clothing and shoes to people in the encampments and in homes. When I went to drop off blankets to a mother and daughter, mother is 77 years old. She only had Ramen for dinner. So I loaded up about 10 dinners and went to deliver them. It was cold and the food was warm. I stopped at my other client’s trailer and confirmed we have the grandson all taken care of for school tutoring.as well. Today was definitely a productive day.
